Involved working with IBM Global Services for additional support. Symantec Ghost software on two "traveling" MS NT v4.0 servers combined with the enhancements made to the PowerBuilder application which controlled the process ensured that the hardware and software upgrades were applied successfully to all 100 laptop computers. Rolled out 50 new IBM ThinkPad PC's. Transferred data from old PC to new PC. Rolled out Cognos PowerPlay Client v6.5 and custom-designed and developed Business Review to all Field users. Provided on-site training to 100 Field Sales Reps.

In-House developed IFIS (CRM) application was enhanced to integrate Windows Dial Up Networking connectivity from within the application. Implementation of Symantec Ghost software on two "traveling" MS NT v4.0 servers ensured that the hardware and software upgrades were applied successfully to all 100 laptop computers. Rolled out Windows 95 to all Field users. Migration process involved transferring user data from old laptop to server and back down to new laptop. Developed a PowerBuilder application to control the process. Migrated from Lotus cc:Mail to Outlook and Lotus 123 to MS Office. Provided on-site training to 100 Field Sales Reps. Replaced old NECs with 50 new NECs.

  • Analysis, Design and Implementation of a PowerBuilder v5.0 / Oracle application to perform what-if analysis sales histories and future Contract pricing terms to develop Pricing Contracts. The Contract Development System utilized the first HTML-like interface for a PB Application. Involved the design and implementation of a number of stored procedures and associated processes to perform the necessary calculations in a three-tiered architecture in order to free up the client workstation while processing occurred.

  • Analysis, Design and Implementation of SVO v3. This version required complete re-architecture of the batch posting process of sales due to the complexity of the business rules. Re-written to make use of stored procedures, packages and called Oracle functions. Front-end application was also enhanced to perform some process for Divisional Manager Commissions.

  • Lead Architect and Technical Lead for Supporting all efforts associated with the National Sales Meeting in Santa Monica, CA. This was the most successful sales meeting ever. In-House developed IFIS (CRM) application was enhanced to perform on-line pricing via remote connectivity to the Oracle Production Pricing database running the Pricing Engine set of Stored Procedures. Implementation of WinInstall on a "traveling" Netware 3.12 server ensured that the software upgrades were applied successfully to all 100 laptop computers. Implemented FTP software's TCP/IP stack and SQLNet for Oracle connectivity. Provided on-site training to 100 Field Sales Reps.

The Sales vs. Objectives v.1 (SVO) application automated the process of setting objectives and tracking actual sales to those objectives at a Product Franchise level. Sales Rep Commissions were calculated bi-monthly based on sales actuals and objectives. Assisted with setting PB and Oracle standards.
